Full Height 28" Turnstile – Electric

The full height turnstile provides secure, controlled pedestrian access at facility boundaries, fence lines and other restricted outdoor entrances. Its full-height construction creates a physical barrier from the ground to above the user's head while providing controlled, one-person-at-a-time passage.

Designed for demanding industrial, commercial and high-security environments, this full height turnstile is well suited for manufacturing facilities, distribution centers, utilities, construction sites, ports, airports, correctional facilities, stadiums, parks and other locations requiring an unattended security entrance.

Fully Welded Construction

The frame and rotating assembly use fully welded steel construction, providing a rigid structure with clean, tamper-resistant connections. Unlike designs assembled from numerous bolted components in the field, the welded construction provides a precise and durable finished assembly.

The rotor provides one-to-one passage control, helping limit access to one person per authorized activation. Automatic indexing returns the rotating section to its proper position after passage.

Access Control Ready

Compatible with any and all access control systems where a low-voltage or dry-contact signal is presented by the control panel to release the turnstile for passage.

The electronic configuration can integrate with card readers, RFID readers, biometric readers, visitor-management systems, time-and-attendance systems and other access-control equipment capable of providing the appropriate relay signal. Access can be controlled independently by direction, allowing the turnstile to be configured for controlled entry, controlled exit, bidirectional controlled access, free passage in one direction or locked passage, depending on the security requirements of the perimeter entrance.

The system can also accommodate local or remote override controls and fire-system input for emergency release. Keyed override provisions are available when authorized personnel need to manually change the passage condition.

Manual or Electronic Operation

Depending on the selected configuration, the turnstile can provide manual or electronically controlled passage.

Electronic configurations can be set up for:

• Controlled entry
• Controlled exit
• Bidirectional access control
• Free passage in one direction
• Locked passage
• Emergency release

Keyed override provisions are available for situations where authorized personnel need to manually control passage.

Indoor or Outdoor

This full height turnstile is designed primarily for outdoor perimeter and fence-line security, but full-height configurations can also be used for indoor applications where their rugged construction and physical security are appropriate.

For outdoor installations, weatherization options can be specified according to the site's environmental conditions.

Finish and Color Options

The turnstile is available with galvanized or powder-coated finishes. Powder coating provides a durable architectural finish and allows the turnstile to coordinate with perimeter fencing, gates and surrounding structures.

A range of colors can be specified, including black, white, gray, blue, green and brown, with additional custom colors available for projects requiring a specific architectural finish.

Installation

The full height turnstile is surface mounted to a prepared concrete foundation and secured with appropriate anchors. Installation should be coordinated with the architectural, structural and electrical plans.

For existing concrete, installation generally includes:

• Positioning and leveling the turnstile
• Layout of anchor locations
• Drilling the concrete
• Installing appropriate anchors
• Connecting power and access-control wiring

For new construction, the concrete foundation, anchor locations and conduit can be coordinated before the foundation is installed.

Where electrical, data or communications wiring is routed below grade, trenching and conduit should be planned as part of the site installation.

Companion ADA Gate

All turnstiles can be ordered with a companion ADA gate with a 36" or 48" free passageway. This provides an accessible route adjacent to the controlled turnstile entrance where required.

Canopy Options

Canopies can provide an anti-climb-over feature while adding overhead protection to the entrance. A half canopy can be ordered when coverage is required on the entry side only.

Additional options include credential-reader mounts, LED indicator lights, keyed overrides, heel and arm guards, weatherization packages and fire-system integration.
