The tandem portable full height turnstile provides two secure pedestrian access lanes in a single, movable assembly. It is designed for locations where full-height security is required but a permanent concrete-mounted installation is impractical or where the entrance configuration may need to change over time.

The portable design is particularly well suited for construction sites, temporary facilities, outdoor events, amusement parks, emergency response centers and other changing environments where secure pedestrian access needs to move with the site.

Two Controlled Pedestrian Lanes

The tandem configuration provides two 31" passage lanes within one integrated structure. Each lane provides full-height physical security while allowing authorized personnel to pass through controlled entry and exit points.

The two-lane configuration is useful for higher-volume entrances where separating pedestrian traffic into dedicated lanes can improve throughput and access management.

Portable, Forklift-Ready Base

Unlike conventional full-height turnstiles that require permanent anchoring, the portable version is mounted to a heavy-duty baseplate with four-way forklift access.

The complete assembly can be repositioned using a forklift or pallet jack, allowing the entrance to move as construction phases, traffic patterns or site boundaries change.

The portable base eliminates the need for a permanent concrete mounting pad, making it particularly useful where drilling and permanent anchoring are not practical.

Durable Full Height Construction

The turnstile incorporates fully welded exterior components and is designed for demanding, high-use environments. Permanently lubricated bearings and a self-centering mechanism with hydraulic shock suppression provide controlled operation and help protect the turnstile during repeated use.

The rotating assemblies can be configured for clockwise, counterclockwise or bidirectional passage, depending on the access-control requirements.

Access Control Ready

The electric configuration can integrate with virtually any access-control hardware or software using a 24 VDC electronic locking system.

Available access-control options include:

• Electronic entry and exit control
• Key override
• Status indicator lights
• Home-position monitoring
• Access-control system integration

Electric lanes can be configured for fail-safe or fail-secure operation, allowing the security system to be matched to the requirements of the facility.

Indoor or Outdoor

The tandem portable full height turnstile is suitable for indoor or outdoor applications.

Finish options include hot-dip galvanized steel, powder-coated steel and powder coat over galvanized steel. The galvanized and powder-over-galvanized options provide additional suitability for outdoor environments.

Powder coating also provides an architectural color option when the turnstile needs to coordinate with fencing, gates or other site components.

Installation and Deployment

The primary advantage of the portable configuration is that it does not require permanent ground mounting.

The turnstile is positioned on level, sturdy ground and can be relocated when site conditions change. For construction applications, this eliminates the need to pour a dedicated concrete pad simply to establish a temporary controlled pedestrian entrance.

A preassembled configuration is available, allowing the unit to arrive at the jobsite ready for positioning, electrical connection and access-control integration.

If a permanent installation is desired, site preparation can include concrete work, drilling, anchoring, trenching and conduit as appropriate for the project.

Safety and Canopy Options

Protective safety sleeves are available for the rotating arms to help reduce contact injuries and improve visibility around the passage lanes.

An anti-climb canopy can also be specified to extend the full-height security barrier over the top of the turnstile.

Companion ADA Access

All turnstiles can be ordered with a companion ADA gate with a 36" or 48" free passageway.

This provides an accessible route adjacent to the controlled turnstile lanes where required by the project.
