Full Height 39" Passage Turnstile – Manual

The 39" passage full height turnstile provides a wide pedestrian passageway combined with the security of a floor-to-ceiling physical barrier. Its wider opening is well suited for industrial facilities, factories, warehouses, commercial buildings and other high-traffic environments where additional pedestrian clearance is desirable.

The heavy-duty construction is designed for demanding applications and can be configured as a stand-alone manual security entrance or paired with an accessible full height gate.

Wide 39" Passageway

The approximately 39" wide passageway provides significantly more clearance than conventional full height turnstiles, making it easier for people carrying equipment, backpacks, packages or other items to move through the entrance.

The turnstile is approximately 84" wide, 75.4" deep and 91" high, with an 84" clear passage height. The rotor uses heavy-duty 1.75" diameter tubing for demanding commercial and industrial applications.

Heavy-Duty Construction

The full height frame and rotor create a substantial physical barrier from the floor to above the user's head, helping prevent unauthorized passage over, under or around the entrance.

An automatic indexing and self-centering rotor returns to its home position after passage, helping maintain the security of the lane.

The approximately 850-pound construction provides a substantial, durable installation for locations experiencing consistent pedestrian traffic.

Manual Operation

This configuration is designed as a manual, non-electric turnstile, making it appropriate for installations where electronic access control is not required.

The turnstile can be configured for different passage-control requirements, including:

• Free entry and free exit
• Free exit with controlled or restricted entry
• Free entry with restricted exit
• Key lock override options

A key override can provide authorized personnel with a simple mechanical method of changing the passage direction or unlocking the turnstile when required.

An electric version is also available when the 39" passageway needs to integrate with an electronic access-control system.

Indoor or Outdoor

The 39" full height turnstile is suitable for indoor or outdoor applications when properly configured for the installation environment.

Construction and finish options include hot-dip galvanized steel and powder-coated steel. Powder coating provides an architectural finish while allowing the turnstile to coordinate with surrounding fencing, gates and buildings.

Color Options

Powder coating is available in a range of standard colors, including:

• Black
• Signal White
• Oyster White
• Gray Aluminum
• Blue
• Green
• Terra Brown

Additional colors can be specified for projects requiring a particular architectural finish.

Installation

The turnstile is surface mounted and anchored to a suitable concrete foundation. Installation should be coordinated with the architectural, structural and electrical plans.

For existing concrete, installation generally includes:

• Positioning and leveling the turnstile
• Marking anchor locations
• Drilling the concrete
• Installing appropriate anchors
• Coordinating conduit and wiring where applicable

For new construction, the concrete foundation, anchor locations and conduit can be coordinated before installation.

Where electrical or communications wiring is routed below grade, trenching and conduit should be planned as part of the site installation.

A minimum of approximately 4" overhead clearance should be provided above the cover to allow access to the control mechanism.

Companion ADA Gate

All turnstiles can be ordered with a companion ADA gate with a 36" or 48" free passageway. This provides an accessible route adjacent to the controlled turnstile entrance.

Canopy Options

Canopies can provide an anti-climb-over feature while adding overhead protection to the entrance. A half canopy can be ordered when coverage is required on the entry side only.

Additional options include key overrides, indicator lights, counters, card-reader mounting provisions, lockout bars and heel guards.
