Full Height 31" Passage Turnstile

This full height security turnstile provides a 31" wide pedestrian passageway for controlled access in commercial, industrial and high-security environments. Its floor-to-ceiling design creates a substantial physical barrier while allowing authorized personnel to pass through a controlled entrance.

The turnstile can operate as a stand-alone manual unit or integrate with an electronic access-control system, including card readers, RFID systems, biometric readers and other credentialing equipment. It is suitable for applications requiring controlled entry, controlled exit or access control in both directions.

Heavy-Duty Full Height Construction

The turnstile uses a durable 1.5" diameter tubular steel construction and weighs approximately 500 pounds. The full height rotor and frame are designed for demanding pedestrian security applications.

An auto-indexing and self-centering rotor returns the rotor to its proper position after each passage. Heel and arm guards are included to provide additional protection around the rotating assembly.

Electric or Manual Operation

The turnstile is available with electric or manual operation.

The electric configuration can be integrated with existing access-control systems and can be configured for different entrance requirements, including:

• Card-in / card-out
• Card-in with free exit
• Controlled exit
• Manual free entry and free exit

Electronic operation allows the turnstile to become part of a larger access-control system rather than functioning as an independent mechanical barrier.

Indoor or Outdoor

This full height turnstile can be used for indoor or outdoor pedestrian security applications.

The standard construction is galvanized steel, providing corrosion resistance for outdoor environments. Powder-coated finishes are also available where a specific architectural appearance or color is required.

Installation

The turnstile is designed for surface installation on a suitable concrete foundation. Proper installation requires accurate positioning and anchoring of the frame and coordination of electrical and access-control wiring.

For existing concrete installations, the process generally includes:

• Positioning and leveling the turnstile
• Layout of anchor locations
• Drilling the concrete
• Installing appropriate anchors
• Connecting electrical and access-control wiring

For new construction, the foundation, anchor locations and conduit can be coordinated during the architectural and electrical planning stages.

Where wiring approaches the turnstile from below grade, trenching and conduit should be planned before installation.

Color and Finish Options

Galvanized steel provides a practical finish for many security and industrial applications. Powder coating is available in multiple colors when the turnstile needs to coordinate with surrounding fencing, gates or building architecture.

Powder-coated finishes can be specified for commercial, institutional and other high-visibility installations where appearance is an important consideration.

Companion ADA Gate

All turnstiles can be ordered with a companion ADA gate with a 36" or 48" free passageway. This provides an accessible passage adjacent to the controlled turnstile entrance.

Canopy Options

Canopies can provide an anti-climb-over feature while adding overhead protection to the turnstile. A half canopy can also be ordered when coverage is required on the entry side only.

Additional options can include indicator lights, digital passage counters, card-reader mounting enclosures, lockout bars and additional heel guards.
