Single Post Gate – 1 or 2 Directions, Chrome

This single-post mechanical pedestrian gate provides a 36" clear passageway for retail stores and other pedestrian traffic-control applications. Its compact design requires only one hinge post and can be installed as a stand-alone gate or integrated with turnstiles, posts and railing.

The gate is supplied for 2-way operation and can be field configured for 1-way passage in either direction. A gravity-assisted self-closing mechanism returns the gate smoothly to the closed position after passage, requiring no electrical power or access-control wiring.

1-Way or 2-Way Operation

For two-way traffic, the gate provides approximately 180° of swing. When configured for one-way operation, an included stop allows the swing to be limited to approximately 90° in the required direction. This makes the same gate adaptable for entrance, exit or bi-directional pedestrian traffic.

The gate and hinge post are constructed from welded steel with a bright chrome finish suitable for finished interior environments. Optional factory-installed railing outlets can be added to the hinge post for connection to 1.75" OD railing, allowing the gate to become part of a complete pedestrian-control or shopping-cart layout. An optional latch and latch post are also available when the gate needs to be secured in the closed position.

Installation

The gate is designed for surface mounting to a suitable structural floor. Final placement should be coordinated with the 36" passage, required swing area and any adjacent turnstiles or railing before drilling and anchoring.

Because the gate operates mechanically, no electrical power, conduit or access-control wiring is required. The chrome configuration is intended primarily for indoor applications; the corresponding stainless-steel version is available where outdoor installation is required.
