Single Post Gate – 1 or 2 Directions, Stainless

This single-post stainless steel pedestrian gate provides a 36" clear passageway for retail stores, public facilities and other pedestrian traffic-control applications. The compact design requires only one hinge post and can be installed independently or integrated with turnstiles, posts and railing.

The gate ships for 2-way operation and can be field configured for 1-way passage in either direction. A gravity-assisted self-closing mechanism returns the gate smoothly to the closed position after passage without requiring electrical power.

1-Way or 2-Way Operation

For two-way traffic, the gate provides approximately 180° of swing. An included stop can be installed to limit operation to approximately 90° in either direction, allowing the same gate to be configured for entrance, exit or bi-directional pedestrian traffic.

The gate is constructed from 304 stainless steel with a #4 satin finish, providing increased corrosion resistance for indoor or outdoor installations. Optional factory-installed railing outlets allow connection to 1.75" OD railing, and an optional latch and latch post can secure the gate in the closed position when required.

Installation

The gate is designed for surface mounting to level concrete. Final placement should account for the 36" passage, required swing area and alignment with adjacent turnstiles, posts or railing before drilling and anchoring.

Because operation is entirely mechanical, electrical power, conduit and access-control wiring are not required.
