Electric Gate, 1-Way Self Closing, Chrome

This electric one-way pedestrian gate provides controlled access through a self-closing swing gate with a 600 lb magnetic lock. Designed for use with access-control systems, the gate releases for authorized passage and automatically returns to the closed position after each use.

The gate is well suited for retail stores, corporate facilities, fitness centers, food-service locations, airports, transit facilities and other controlled pedestrian entrances. Accessible-width configurations are available for wheelchair and mobility-device passage.

Electric Magnetic Locking

A 600 lb electromagnetic lock secures the gate in the closed position. The gate can be configured for fail-safe or fail-secure operation depending on project requirements. An emergency breakaway feature is also available for safety and egress applications. 

Access Control Ready: Compatible with any and all access control systems where a low-voltage or dry-contact signal is presented by the control panel to release the gate for passage.

The source specifically documents integration with standard 12V or 24V access-control signals and compatibility with card readers, keypads, biometric readers and other credential systems.

Self-Closing Operation

After authorized passage, the gate's self-closing mechanism automatically returns the arm to the secured position. This combines the convenience of an electric access-control gate with automatic closing after each user.

The gate features durable steel construction and is available with multiple finish options. For this Security Entrances configuration, the bright chrome finish is intended for indoor installations.

Installation

The gate is designed for floor mounting at the controlled passageway. Final gate position, swing direction and passage width should be established before drilling and anchoring.

Unlike the manual version, this gate requires coordination of electrical power and low-voltage access-control wiring. Wiring should be planned before installation so the magnetic lock can be connected to the access-control panel and required release devices.
