Full Height Security Turnstile – Quick Ship

The single full height turnstile provides a controlled pedestrian entrance with a floor-to-ceiling physical barrier designed to help prevent unauthorized passage. Its rugged construction makes it suitable for commercial, industrial, institutional and high-security applications where dependable pedestrian control is required.

The turnstile can be used as a stand-alone mechanical security entrance or configured for integration with an electronic access-control system. It is suitable for facilities such as manufacturing plants, warehouses, utilities, schools, stadiums, commercial buildings and controlled-access facilities.

Full Height Security Construction

The full-height frame and rotor create a substantial physical barrier extending from the floor to above the user's head. The rotor incorporates automatic indexing and self-centering, helping return it to the proper position after each passage.

The design provides consistent pedestrian flow while maintaining a controlled entrance point.

Manual or Electronic Operation

The turnstile can be configured for manual or electronic operation. Manual configurations provide controlled mechanical pedestrian passage without requiring electronic authorization, while electronic configurations allow the turnstile to be released through the facility's access-control system.

Access Control Ready:
Compatible with any and all access control systems where a low-voltage or dry-contact signal is presented by the control panel to release the turnstile for passage. This allows electronic configurations to integrate with card readers, RFID readers, biometric systems, keypads, intercoms and other credential or authorization systems capable of providing the appropriate relay signal.

Operating configurations can include controlled entry in one or both directions, free passage in one direction with controlled passage in the other, or locked passage in a selected direction. Electronic configurations can also be specified for fail-secure or fail-safe operation, with key override available for authorized personnel.

Indoor or Outdoor

The full height turnstile is suitable for indoor or outdoor applications when properly specified for the installation environment.

For outdoor installations, galvanized construction and protective finishes can be specified to suit the surrounding conditions. Powder coating is also available when an architectural color or coordinated finish is desired.

Powder-Coated Color Options

Powder coating provides a durable finish and allows the turnstile to coordinate with security fencing, gates and surrounding architecture.

Standard colors can include black, white, gray, blue, green and terra brown, with additional colors available for projects requiring a particular architectural finish.

Custom colors can be specified for projects where the turnstile needs to match an established color palette.

Installation

The turnstile is surface mounted and anchored to a suitable concrete foundation. Installation should be coordinated with the architectural, structural and electrical plans.

For existing concrete, installation generally includes:

• Positioning and leveling
• Layout of anchor locations
• Drilling the concrete
• Installing appropriate anchors
• Connecting electrical and access-control wiring where applicable

For new construction, the foundation, anchor locations and conduit can be coordinated during the design and construction phases.

Where power, data or communications wiring approaches the turnstile from below grade, trenching and conduit should be planned before installation.

Adequate overhead clearance should also be provided for access to the turnstile's operating mechanism.

Companion ADA Gate

All turnstiles can be ordered with a companion ADA gate with a 36" or 48" free passageway. This provides an accessible route adjacent to the controlled turnstile entrance where required.

Canopy Options

Canopies can provide an anti-climb-over feature while adding overhead protection to the entrance. A half canopy can be ordered when coverage is required on the entry side only.

Additional options can include access-control mounting provisions, indicator lights, passage counters, lockout bars and heel-guard protection.
