Tandem Galvanized Turnstile – Quick Ship
Product Description
This tandem galvanized full height turnstile provides two controlled pedestrian passageways within a single integrated frame, increasing pedestrian capacity while requiring less overall installation width than two separately installed full height turnstiles. The Quick Ship configuration is designed for projects requiring a durable, access-controlled tandem entrance with reduced lead time.
Heavy-duty galvanized steel construction provides corrosion protection for indoor and outdoor installations, making this turnstile well suited for industrial facilities, distribution centers, secured campuses, employee entrances, transportation facilities, stadiums and perimeter security applications.
The electric configuration provides two-way controlled passage and can be integrated with card readers, proximity credentials, biometric readers and other access-control equipment. Each passageway operates independently, allowing the two lanes to be configured according to the required entry and exit traffic pattern.
Electric Two-Way Operation
The electric configuration provides controlled bi-directional passage, allowing each lane to manage authorized pedestrian movement in either direction. Each rotation provides controlled passage for one person, helping maintain orderly entry and exit while increasing overall throughput through the dual-lane entrance.
The turnstile can be configured for fail-safe or fail-secure operation according to project requirements and can also interface with a facility fire-control system for emergency operation.
Access Control Ready
Access Control Ready: Compatible with any and all access control systems where a low-voltage or dry-contact signal is presented by the control panel to release the turnstile for passage.
The electric tandem design can be integrated with card readers, proximity credentials, biometric readers, intercom systems, remote controls and other access-control equipment. Each passageway can be configured to support the required entrance and exit sequence.
Heavy-Duty Tandem Construction
The tandem design incorporates two rotating sections within a common structural assembly, providing two pedestrian lanes without requiring two completely separate turnstile installations.
Heavy-duty construction is combined with sealed self-centering top and bottom bearings and adjustable hydraulic speed control for smooth, controlled rotor movement. Suspended rotor technology helps reduce wear at the base of the assembly, while mechanically fastened arms allow individual components to be replaced when required. A hinged service channel provides access to internal components for servicing.
Galvanized Steel Finish
This configuration features an industrial hot-dip galvanized finish intended for durable service in demanding security and perimeter applications. Galvanizing provides corrosion protection for the steel structure and makes this configuration particularly appropriate for exterior installations and industrial environments.
Other finish configurations are available on separate tandem turnstile models, including powder-coated and stainless-steel options.
Indoor / Outdoor
The tandem full height turnstile is suitable for indoor or outdoor applications. The heavy-duty construction and galvanized finish make this configuration particularly well suited for exterior perimeter entrances, industrial facilities, employee entrances and other locations exposed to demanding operating conditions. The product family is identified for outdoor/all-weather applications.
Installation
The tandem turnstile is designed for permanent installation on a level structural mounting surface. Installation should coordinate the complete turnstile footprint, base mounting and anchor locations, electrical power, access-control wiring and required pedestrian clearances.
For new construction, electrical and low-voltage conduit can be coordinated below the finished mounting surface before installation. Existing installations may require drilling, trenching, core drilling or other approved conduit-routing methods.
Final anchor locations, drilling patterns, conduit routing and electrical stub-ups should be coordinated from the approved project drawings before drilling or concrete work. Product manuals, layout drawings, elevation drawings and CAD documentation are available for coordination.
ADA Companion Gate
All tandem turnstiles can be ordered with a companion ADA gate with a 36" or 48" free passageway. The gate provides a controlled wide passage adjacent to the tandem turnstile for accessible pedestrian traffic, personnel or equipment movement.
Matching full-height gates can integrate with access control and are available in galvanized, powder-coated and stainless-steel finishes.
Canopy Options
Canopies can provide an anti-climb-over feature and can be ordered as a half canopy for entry side only.
Canopy requirements should be coordinated with the entrance layout, adjacent fencing or walls and the required security level.
Available Options
Available equipment can include push-button activation, electric passage counters and customized direction indicators. The electric turnstile can also be configured for fail-safe or fail-secure operation and integrated with the facility's fire-control and access-control systems.
