Outdoor Optical Turnstile - 71" Height

The Outdoor Optical Turnstile - 71" Height provides controlled pedestrian access for outdoor and indoor entrances. Its 55-inch clear swinging panels create a substantial physical barrier while maintaining visibility and an open architectural appearance.

Automated glass panels work with optical sensing to monitor pedestrian movement through the lane. The gate integrates with access-control systems to manage authorized entry and exit while helping identify unauthorized passage.

71-Inch Clear Panels

The 71-inch clear panels provide the most separation compared with lower optical gates without obstructing sight lines. This makes the system suitable for commercial properties, campuses, public facilities, transportation areas and other controlled entrances.

Custom Passage Widths

Clear passage widths can be configured from 25.6" to 41.3", allowing lanes to accommodate standard pedestrian traffic, accessible passage, wheelchairs, luggage and carts.

The final width should be established during architectural planning so cabinet locations and surrounding clearances can be properly coordinated.

Outdoor Construction and Installation

Outdoor installations should account for weather exposure, drainage, mounting surfaces and electrical requirements. Gate locations should be coordinated with architectural, electrical and access-control plans before paving or finished flooring is completed.

For new construction, power and communication pathways can be established before the finished surface is installed. Existing concrete should be checked for reinforcement, utilities and other concealed conditions before drilling or trenching.

Mounting Options

Depending on site conditions, the gate can be installed using direct floor anchoring or an appropriate mounting/baseplate arrangement. Cabinets must be properly positioned and secured to maintain alignment of the barriers and optical sensing system.

Baseplate Option

An optional baseplate provides both equipment mounting and concealed wire routing, reducing or eliminating the need for core drilling or trenching through concrete or finished tile. This can be especially useful for retrofit installations.
