Latch Post Gate, One-Way Chrome

This manual latch-post pedestrian gate provides a 36" passageway for controlling access to restricted or designated areas. The gate opens in one direction and remains open until manually closed, making it a simple, economical solution for locations where automatic closing is not required.

The gate includes both a hinge post and latch post and features durable welded steel construction with a bright chrome finish. It can be installed as a stand-alone gate or incorporated with turnstiles, posts and railing to create a coordinated pedestrian traffic-control system.

Manual Latching Operation

When the gate is closed, a finger latch engages the latch post and holds the gate in position. The latch must be manually released before the gate can be opened again. A small padlock can be added to the latch when the gate needs to be secured in the closed position.

The reversible finger latch allows the gate to be configured in the field for right-hand or left-hand swing, providing flexibility when laying out entrances, restricted areas and pedestrian-control systems.

Retail and Restricted-Area Applications

This gate is particularly useful for closing off customer-service areas, liquor and tobacco areas and other restricted sections of grocery, convenience and retail stores. It can also be used with modular railing to direct pedestrian traffic or divide areas within a facility.

The bright chrome finish coordinates with chrome turnstiles and post-and-rail systems, making the gate suitable for finished indoor retail environments.

Installation

The gate is designed for surface mounting to a suitable structural floor using the hinge and latch posts. Final post locations, passage width and swing direction should be established before drilling and anchoring.

Because the gate operates entirely mechanically, no electrical power, conduit or access-control wiring is required. Optional railing connections can be incorporated where the gate will be installed as part of a larger post-and-rail system.
