One-Way Double-Gate, Chrome, 48" Passageway

This one-way double gate provides a wide 48" passageway for shopping carts, stocking carts, equipment and pedestrian traffic. The two gate arms open in a single direction, making the gate well suited for controlling traffic at grocery stores, retail stores, club stores, home improvement centers and warehouse facilities.

A rugged gravity-assisted closing mechanism automatically returns the gate arms to the closed position after passage. Operation is entirely mechanical, requiring no electrical power or access-control wiring.

Designed for Shopping Cart Traffic

Steel impact plates are welded to the entry side of the gate arms, allowing shopping and stocking carts to push the gates open. High-impact bumper strips help absorb repeated cart contact, reduce metal-to-metal noise and protect the gate from cart damage.

The gate and hinge posts are fabricated from welded steel with a bright chrome finish. The gate can be installed independently or combined with turnstiles, posts and railing to create a complete pedestrian and shopping-cart traffic-control system. Optional factory-installed railing outlets are available.

Installation

The double gate is designed for installation on level concrete. Each 40" high hinge post is constructed from 2.25" OD steel tubing and welded to a 5.5" diameter mounting flange with anchor holes. An optional anchor kit includes expansion anchors, bolts and washers for securing the posts to a standard level concrete floor. 

Final gate locations should be established before drilling to maintain the required passage width and properly coordinate the gate with adjacent turnstiles, posts or railing. No electrical conduit or access-control wiring is required.
