Full Height Turnstile – Clear Curved Side

This elegant full height turnstile combines the robust operational features of a security turnstile with a crystal-clear side panel (Yoke) that creates a more open, architectural appearance. The clear Yoke improves visual sight lines through the entrance, making this turnstile particularly well suited for corporate lobbies, commercial buildings, institutional facilities and other applications where security and appearance are equally important.

The turnstile is available in an electrically controlled or non-electric mechanical configuration. The electric version integrates with virtually any access-control system and hardware, allowing the turnstile to become part of a complete pedestrian security and visitor-management system.

Premium Architectural Construction

The Yoke frame is constructed from aluminum surrounding a crystal-clear panel. When stainless steel is selected for the turnstile, the aluminum Yoke frame is provided with a matching brushed finish for a coordinated appearance.

The standard finish is stainless steel, with powder-coated finishes also available. When powder coating is selected, the exterior metal components receive the powder-coated finish.

The welded steel construction eliminates exposed bolts and fasteners, while high-quality sealed and covered bearings provide smooth, dependable operation and help protect the internal mechanism.

Security and One-to-One Passage Control

The full height design provides a substantial physical barrier while maintaining a more open appearance than conventional full-height turnstiles.

One-to-one passage control helps deter tailgating by allowing a single authorized person through the turnstile for each valid access authorization. Automatic indexing returns the rotor to its proper position after passage, preparing the turnstile for the next user.

The design is intended for long-term, continuous use in facilities with consistent pedestrian traffic.

Access Control Ready

Compatible with any and all access control systems where a low-voltage or dry-contact signal is presented by the control panel to release the turnstile for passage.

The electrically controlled configuration can integrate with card readers, RFID readers, biometric readers, keypads, visitor-management systems and other access-control equipment capable of providing the appropriate relay signal. Each direction can be independently controlled, allowing the entrance and exit sides to be configured according to the security requirements of the facility.

When a valid credential is presented, the locking mechanism releases the turnstile for one controlled passage in the authorized direction. Each direction can be configured for fail-safe or fail-lock operation, and key-lock overrides provide an additional method of authorized control. A dedicated fire-system input is also provided, while passage outputs can be monitored to confirm completed passage or support accurate people counting.

Mechanical Operation

A non-electric mechanical version is available where electronic access control is not required. This provides the same full-height physical security and architectural appearance without requiring electrical operation at the turnstile.

Indoor or Outdoor

This transitional full height turnstile is suitable for indoor and covered outdoor applications where a refined architectural appearance is desired.

It is particularly appropriate for entrances that transition between exterior and interior spaces, corporate facilities, employee entrances, secured vestibules and other locations where the turnstile remains visible to occupants and visitors.

Finish and Color Options

The standard finish is stainless steel, providing a premium architectural appearance appropriate for corporate and institutional environments.

Powder-coated finishes are also available. When powder coating is selected, the exterior metal components are powder coated, allowing the turnstile to coordinate with surrounding doors, gates, fencing and architectural finishes.

Custom colors can be specified when required for a particular project.

Installation

The turnstile is designed for installation on a prepared floor or concrete foundation and should be securely anchored to the supporting structure.

Installation should be coordinated with the architectural, structural, electrical and access-control plans.

Typical installation includes:

• Positioning and leveling the turnstile
• Layout of mounting locations
• Drilling the concrete or finished floor where required
• Installing appropriate anchors
• Routing power and access-control wiring
• Connecting fire-system and passage-monitoring inputs
• Testing access-control and emergency-release functions

For new construction, mounting locations, electrical service, conduit and access-control pathways can be coordinated during the planning stage.

Where wiring approaches the turnstile from below grade, trenching and conduit should be planned as part of the site installation.

Base plates and mounting options can be specified where appropriate for the installation conditions.

Companion ADA Gate

All turnstiles can be ordered with a companion ADA gate with a 36" or 48" free passageway. This provides an accessible passage adjacent to the controlled turnstile entrance.

Canopy Options

Canopies can provide an anti-climb-over feature while adding overhead protection to the entrance. A half canopy can be ordered when coverage is required on the entry side only.
