Bi-Folding Gate - Commercial - 2 or 4 Panel

The Bi-Folding Gate - Commercial - 2 or 4 Panel is a vehicle access-control solution for secured entrances where space, reliability, and cost effectiveness are important. Its compact folding design limits the space required for gate movement, while an approximately eight-second opening time supports efficient vehicle passage. It is well suited to parking facilities, storage sites, commercial properties, and industrial entrances. With no overhead track, the entrance remains clear above for trucks and other tall vehicles.

Two-panel configurations fold toward one side of the entrance, while four-panel configurations open from the center to both sides. Programmable controls allow operation to be tailored to the site, and standard battery backup supports continued use during power interruptions. 

Panel Heights and Configurations

• 6 ft high: Passageways up to 15 ft with two panels, or 30 ft with four panels.
• 8 ft high: Passageways up to 13 ft with two panels, or 26 ft with four panels.
• 10 ft high: Passageways up to 10 ft with two panels, or 20 ft with four panels.

Two-panel configurations serve narrower passageways, with maximum dimensions confirmed for the selected height. All dimensions depend on panel weight, infill, wind exposure, and site requirements.

Infill Options

Panel infill can be selected to complement surrounding fencing and the entrance’s appearance. Available materials and patterns should be confirmed for the selected configuration, as infill weight and wind exposure affect allowable gate dimensions. Hot-dip galvanized and optional powder-coated finishes provide flexibility in the finished appearance.

Battery Backup

Standard battery backup supports up to 300 operating cycles during a power interruption, with an extended-capacity option providing up to 1,200 cycles. Actual performance depends on battery condition, temperature, gate resistance, and accessory power use. The system can be configured to remain open or secure when the batteries are depleted.

Installation

Installation requires prepared concrete foundations, accurate column placement, and suitable lifting equipment to position the gate assemblies. Foundation locations, folding clearance, conduit routes, power, and access-control connections should be coordinated before installation. The columns and panels must be leveled and aligned, and safety devices and gate operation tested before the entrance is placed into service.
