Automatic Barrier Gate Operator – Quick Ship

This automatic barrier gate operator is designed for commercial parking facilities, controlled vehicle entrances, industrial properties and other applications requiring reliable, continuous-duty vehicle access control.

The barrier uses a 24VDC brushless motor for frequent operation and can accommodate a standard barrier arm up to 15'-7", with an optional extension increasing the total arm length to approximately 19'-8". Opening and closing speed varies according to arm length, with a 90° arm movement taking approximately 2.5 to 4.5 seconds.

The two-piece octagonal aluminum barrier arm provides a lightweight but rigid vehicle-control barrier. The operator is designed for continuous-duty operation, making it appropriate for parking garages, employee entrances, commercial parking lots, gated facilities and other locations with repeated daily vehicle traffic.

Barrier Arm Lengths

The standard configuration accommodates a barrier arm up to 15'-7". For wider vehicle lanes, a 49" arm extension can increase the overall barrier arm length to approximately 19'-8".

Access Control Ready

Access Control Ready: Compatible with any and all access control systems where a low-voltage or dry-contact signal is presented by the control panel to open the barrier gate.

The access-control system can provide a dry-contact or low-voltage relay signal to the barrier gate controller to command the arm to open. This allows the automatic barrier to be integrated with card readers, long-range vehicle readers, telephone entry systems, intercoms, parking systems, credential readers, push-button controls and other access-control systems capable of providing the appropriate relay output.

Vehicle loops and photoelectric safety devices can also be incorporated into the entrance. A plug-in loop detector and retro-reflective photo eye are available accessories for this operator.

Power & Battery Backup

The barrier operator uses a 24VDC brushless DC motor and supports 120VAC, 208/240VAC single-phase and 24VDC solar power configurations. Two 12V, 7Ah batteries provide backup operation. Up to approximately 350 cycles with a 15-foot arm, depending on actual operating conditions.

Continuous-Duty Operation

The operator is rated for continuous duty, making it suitable for entrances where the barrier may cycle repeatedly throughout the day.

A mechanical spindle crank is also provided to permit manual movement of the barrier arm when necessary.

Indoor/Outdoor

The powder-coated aluminum cabinet and UV-resistant hood make the barrier suitable for indoor and outdoor vehicle-control installations. The cabinet measures approximately 11"W × 14"D × 42"H and weighs approximately 120 lbs. without the barrier arm.

Installation & Required Information

The barrier operator should be installed on a properly constructed level concrete foundation with appropriate anchor locations and conduit stub-ups.

Before ordering and installation, determine the clear vehicle lane width so the correct barrier arm length can be supplied. For wider lanes requiring the extended arm, this needs to be identified before the final barrier configuration is established.

The site layout should also identify the cabinet location, direction of arm travel, available overhead clearance, incoming electrical power, access-control conduit, vehicle-loop locations and safety-device locations, lane width, required arm length, available power, cabinet location, access-control method and required vehicle/safety detection.
