Custom Sized "up to 60" Wide ADA Gate

This custom-sized pedestrian swing gate provides a wide accessible passage for wheelchairs, mobility devices, carts, deliveries and equipment. A standard 36" clear passageway is available, with custom gate widths manufactured up to 60" clear passage to accommodate wider openings and project-specific requirements. 

The gate operates in one direction with a 90° swing and uses a heavy-duty, adjustable self-closing mechanism to automatically return the gate after passage. It is well suited as a companion gate alongside waist-high turnstiles or as a stand-alone controlled passageway.

Custom Widths Up to 60"

The standard configuration provides a 36" ADA passage, while custom widths can be manufactured up to 60" clear passage. Matching custom post-and-rail sections are also available to fill remaining space between the gate, turnstiles, walls or surrounding entrance-control equipment.

The gate uses 2" diameter 304 stainless steel tubing with rounded corners and a brushed #4 finish. Heavy-duty stainless-steel mounting plates provide a durable connection to the structural floor, while decorative flange covers conceal the mounting hardware. The stainless construction allows the gate to be used for interior or exterior installations.

Manual or Access-Controlled Operation

Standard operation is mechanical and self-closing, requiring no electrical power. An optional 24 VDC electromagnetic lock can be added when controlled entry or exit is required. The electric-locking configuration is fail-safe, providing free passage upon loss of power.

Access Control Ready: When equipped with the electric locking option, the gate is compatible with access-control systems using a low-voltage or dry-contact signal to release the gate for passage. Push-button activation is also available.

Installation

The gate is designed for surface mounting to a solid, level structural floor. The hinge and stop posts use heavy stainless-steel base plates with four mounting holes for anchoring. Final gate width, swing direction and post locations should be established before drilling, particularly for custom-width installations.

For electrically locked configurations, power and low-voltage access-control wiring should be coordinated before installation. Manual configurations require no electrical conduit or access-control wiring.
