Parking Gate Replacement Boom Arms

Replacement boom arms for automatic parking and vehicle barrier gates are available for many of the most commonly installed barrier gate systems in the United States.

Barrier arms are often damaged by vehicles while the barrier operator, motor and control system remain fully operational. In these situations, replacing the boom arm and required mounting components can restore the existing barrier gate without replacing the complete operator.

Replacement arms are available for FAAC, Magnetic, All-O-Matic, HySecurity, LiftMaster, DoorKing and other compatible barrier gate systems. Because arm profiles, mounting hubs, counterbalance requirements and operator geometry vary, replacement barrier arms are not universal. The existing gate and arm configuration should be identified before ordering.

Depending on the model, arms may be cut down and recapped in the filed for other custom sizes.

Replacement Arm Sizes

Replacement boom arms are available in a wide range of lengths for parking, commercial and industrial vehicle entrances.

Standard Sizes: 10', 12', 15', 20', 28' and 33'

Custom Sizes: 11' through 32' in whole-foot increments

Depending on the existing barrier gate, replacement arms may be round, octagonal or other system-specific profiles. Straight and folding/articulated replacement arms are also available where supported by the existing operator.

Straight Replacement Boom Arms

Straight replacement arms are used for parking lots, commercial entrances, industrial facilities and other applications with adequate vertical clearance.

The replacement arm should match the original operator's required length, profile, mounting hardware and counterbalance configuration. Selecting an arm solely by length is not sufficient.

Articulated Replacement Boom Arms

Replacement articulated arms are available for compatible barrier gates installed in parking garages and other low-ceiling environments.

The replacement articulated arm must match the existing folding geometry and operator. Before ordering, provide the lane width, ceiling height and existing articulated-arm dimensions. This information is necessary to determine the proper lengths of the arm sections and articulation point.

What We Need to Identify Your Replacement Arm

Before ordering, provide the barrier gate manufacturer, operator model or part number, existing boom length, arm shape/profile and mounting configuration.

Installation

Before installing the replacement arm, the existing arm mounting assembly, hub, brackets, counterbalance components and operator mechanism should be inspected for damage. A vehicle impact severe enough to damage the boom may also damage or misalign these components.

The replacement arm must be installed and balanced according to the requirements of the existing barrier operator. Different arm lengths and profiles can change the load placed on the operator and may require corresponding hardware or counterbalance adjustments.

Availability

Availability depends on the manufacturer, arm length and configuration. For many replacement boom arms, expect a tracking number within approximately 1–3 weeks, depending on length, configuration and quantity.
