Alluminum Turnstile 24" Open - Metal Detector

Turnstile:

This Full Height Turnstile is high security with 24" Passageway with Metal Detector Portal is manufactured with anodized aluminum ovaline arms and features Lexan polycarbonate yoke for an open appearance.  Available with or without the Metal Detector Portal.

This electric turnstile has full security, tamper-resistant, full-height turnstiles.

Dimensions of the single turnstile without the metal detector portal is 91" tall x 66" wide.

Ideal for indoor, attended locations or covered outdoor installations.

Features auto-indexing (self-centering) with adjustable hydraulic shock suppression with hardened tool steel locking bars, cam and roller assemblies with permanently lubricated bearings.

Metal Detector:

If metal is detected, the turnstile locks automatically to prevent entry. If no metal is detected, then the turnstile allows entry.  Typically installed in an 'attended' area, a guard would normally be alerted to the presence of metal.  Once the metal is removed from the scan, the turnstile will open. 

This is a special unit and focuses on metal detection for the primary permission to enter the turnstile, and is not combined with an access control permission otherwise. Note also the narrow 24" passageway which allows for the metal detector's sensitivity.

The multi-zone metal detector fits within the custom portal. Manufactured by CEIA, the detector features accurate detection of magnetic, non-magnetic and mixed-alloy metal weapons. There are 60 localization sones (20 vertical, 3 lateral).  Meets requirements to detect full range of metal weapon threats even within body cavities. Detects all ferrous and non-ferrous metal weapons and those constructed in special non-magnetic alloys.  The scanner software tells you where, how much, and what type of metal is being brought into the secured area.

The metal detector is sophisticated enough to allow personal effects to be ignored, and has a very low "nuisance" alarm rate even at the strictest security levels, allowing high transit flow rates and minimum need for intervention by inspection personnel.
