"Exit" Turnstile – Curved Arm Anti-Crawl

This mechanical exit turnstile with curved arms provides one-way pedestrian traffic control for retail stores and other public-access facilities. The four-arm rotating section moves smoothly and quietly with minimal hand pressure, while the curved-arm design helps discourage wrong-way and crawl-under passage.

The turnstile is particularly suited for retail stores, supermarkets, warehouses, food-service areas and other controlled-exit locations where pedestrian traffic needs to be directed without powered access-control equipment. When incorporated into a coordinated entrance and checkout layout, the turnstile can help direct exiting customers toward designated monitored areas.

Mechanical One-Way Operation

The turnstile operates mechanically in one direction and requires no electrical power for normal operation. Standard rotation is clockwise but can be changed in the field to counterclockwise, allowing the exit direction to be matched to the facility layout.

The four-arm configuration maintains a more restricted opening throughout rotation, while the curved arms provide additional resistance to pedestrians attempting to duck underneath the arms in the wrong direction.

Finish and Railing Options

A bright chrome finish provides a clean appearance for retail and other finished interior environments. The turnstile can also be ordered with factory-attached railing outlets for connection to compatible post-and-rail systems, allowing the exit turnstile, pedestrian gates and railing to be incorporated into a coordinated traffic-control layout.

Indoor Installation

This configuration is best suited for indoor applications, including storefront entrances and exits, checkout areas, supermarkets, drug stores, cafeterias, health clubs and other public-access facilities.

For accessible pedestrian passage, the turnstile can be incorporated into a layout with a companion pedestrian gate. A compatible gate configuration is available with a 36" clear passageway for accessibility requirements.

Installation

The turnstile is shipped ready for installation and should be installed on a firm, level concrete foundation with a minimum 4" slab depth. Anchoring hardware is available but is not included with the standard unit. Final placement should be coordinated with adjacent railing, pedestrian gates and required circulation clearances before drilling.

Because operation is entirely mechanical, electrical conduit and access-control wiring are not required for standard operation.
