Access PROL 4" Up – Width to 20' Barrier

The Wide Automatic Barrier Arm is designed to control vehicle entrances where reliable operation and a wide lane opening are important. It is well suited for parking facilities, commercial properties, company entrances, residential communities and other controlled-access locations. With coverage for lanes up to approximately 20 feet wide, it provides an effective way to manage wider vehicle entrances while maintaining controlled traffic flow.

The system uses a modular and expandable control system that can be configured for different access-control applications. Inputs and outputs can be individually assigned, while optional expansion capabilities can support functions such as Ethernet communication, radio control and parking-space counting. Opening and closing times can be independently selected at approximately 4, 6 or 8 seconds, allowing the barrier to be matched to the traffic requirements of the site.

The automatic barrier cabinet contains the operating and control equipment, while the barrier arm controls the vehicle lane. The system can be integrated with vehicle detection and access-control equipment as part of a complete entrance-management system. The manufacturer also identifies the barrier for applications where pedestrian movement cannot be completely excluded, provided the required safety equipment is installed.

This type of barrier is appropriate for parking garages, parking lots, commercial properties, company grounds, residential communities and controlled private entrances. It is intended primarily for access control and traffic management rather than being represented as a crash-rated hostile-vehicle barrier.
