Waist High Gate – Infill Bars, Electric 1-Way

This electric-locking waist-high pedestrian gate provides a wide passage for accessible pedestrian traffic, deliveries and controlled entry or exit applications. The gate opens in one direction and uses a heavy-duty hydraulic closure to return the gate smoothly to the closed position without slamming.

This configuration features stainless steel infill bars within the gate frame for a durable, open architectural appearance. The gate is particularly well suited as a companion to waist-high or optical turnstiles where a wider controlled passage is required.

Electric Lock and Access Control

An electromagnetic lock secures the gate in the closed position and provides approximately 600 lbs. of holding force. The gate can be released by a remote push button or integrated with an access-control system for controlled passage.

Access Control Ready: Compatible with any and all access control systems where a low-voltage or dry-contact signal is presented by the control panel to release the gate for passage. The current electrical documentation confirms relay-control integration and operation at 24/12/5 VDC.

The electric locking configuration is fail-safe, automatically unlocking to provide free egress if power is lost.

Construction and Operation

The gate and frame are fabricated from 304 stainless steel, with evenly spaced square stainless steel infill bars. A lower kick plate on both sides provides an impact surface and assists wheelchair passage.

The gate provides approximately a 36" clear passage and can be ordered for either right-hand or left-hand swing. The required swing direction is established when the gate is ordered.

Available finishes include satin stainless steel and powder-coated finishes. Optional railing outlets can also be added to the hinge or latch post for connection to compatible 1.75" railing.

Installation

The gate is supplied as a framed assembly with separate hinge and latch posts for anchoring to a suitable structural floor. Installation requires coordination of the gate swing, post locations, electrical power and low-voltage access-control wiring before drilling and anchoring.

For the electric version, the current specifications call for 110–240 VAC, 50/60 Hz input power, with low-voltage operation of the locking/control system.
