Custom Designed Post – Double, Triple Railing

This custom post and railing system provides a flexible way to control pedestrian and shopping cart traffic in retail stores and other public-access facilities. Posts can be configured for double or triple horizontal railing and integrated with turnstiles, pedestrian gates, entrances, exits, checkout areas and shopping cart corrals.

Posts are available with factory-installed railing outlets in end, center, corner and angled configurations, allowing straight runs, 90-degree corners and custom layouts. Horizontal rails connect directly to the post outlets and are secured with set screws, allowing sections to be ordered to size or field cut when required.

Double and Triple Railing Configurations

Standard fixed-anchor posts use a 2.25" diameter tube with a 5.5" diameter base. Post heights of 35", 44" and 48" accommodate different railing arrangements and traffic-control requirements.

Double-railing configurations provide two horizontal rails for standard pedestrian-control layouts. Triple-railing configurations add a third horizontal rail for a more complete barrier between posts, making them useful where additional separation or containment is desired.

A smaller-base Space Saver configuration is also available for installations where floor space is limited.

Horizontal railing has a 1.75" outside diameter and is available from 1' through 6' in 3" increments, with longer 84", 96" and 120" sections also available.

Finish Options

Depending on post height and configuration, available finishes include bright chrome, satin or mirror stainless steel, and custom powder-coated finishes. Posts and railing can be coordinated with adjacent turnstiles and pedestrian gates for a consistent appearance throughout the installation.

Installation

Fixed posts are designed for surface mounting to a suitable structural floor using expansion anchors. Other anchoring configurations are available for applications requiring additional support, a smaller mounting footprint or removable posts.

Final post locations and railing lengths should be established before drilling to ensure proper alignment with turnstiles, gates and surrounding pedestrian routes. For custom layouts, provide the overall dimensions, openings, turnstile and gate locations, and the post-and-rail system can be configured for the required area.
