Cantilever Sliding Gate - Vertical Pickets

The Cantilever Sliding Gate - Vertical Pickets is a motorized vehicle access-control solution designed for secured entrances where perimeter protection, reliable operation, and appearance are important. Its vertical picket design makes it well suited to commercial properties, airports, seaports, water treatment facilities, and public transportation sites.

The gate slides to one side of the entrance without a ground track, keeping the roadway clear for vehicle traffic. Modular aluminum construction and a rack-and-pinion drive provide smooth, quiet operation. Opening speeds of 1 or 2 ft per second are available. Total opening time varies with passage width.

Infill Options

Vertical picket infill provides an ornamental appearance that coordinates with surrounding fencing. The design eliminates diagonal braces that could provide climbing footholds. Powder-coat color options allow the gate to complement the property’s exterior. A protective screen must be installed to meet the stated ASTM and UL requirements.

Control and Accessory Options

Optional accessories include bidirectional traffic lights, strobe lights, vehicle detection loops and relays, pedestals, and a cold-weather kit. Concealed nylon rollers support smooth gate movement.

Installation

Plan sufficient space beside the entrance for the gate’s full sliding travel. Electrical service requires a dedicated 15-amp circuit. Gate placement, support requirements, safety screening, and accessory connections should be coordinated using the installation drawings for the selected configuration.
