This compact optical turnstile is barrier free and designed for patron counting applications. The turnstile is suitable for indoor applications and select outdoor applications, and can be bolted to a floor or installed on portable baseplates.
Note that optical turnstiles are not compatible with direct sunlight or exessive moisture in humid environments.
It has an advanced optical detection system that counts each passage as patrons pass through, and can be configured in the field to count in one direction, or in both directions. When configured for single direction passage only (i.e. entry only, exit only), it can generate an audible alarm to notify of the wrong way attempt.
This turnstile has a very compact cabinet that saves valuable floor space. Lanes can be spaced to provide passage areas of either 30″ or 36″. Center expansion cabinets that have the same dimensions as end cabinets, allowing space-saving multi-lane configurations.
Key Features:
-
Single direction or bi-directional patron counting
-
Configurable (.wav) alarm warns of wrong way passage
-
Very high counting accuracy
-
High traffic capacity
-
Slim cabinet design
-
Same cabinet dimensions for standard and handicapped widths
-
Stainless steel or powder coated cabinet finishes
This optical turnstile can be installed at facility entry and exit points to provide an entry and exit date as well as current occupancy totals. It can similarly be used to record traffic going into individual areas or exhibits within a facility.
This optical turnstile provides several methods of outputting count data:
- It is a TCP/IP enabled device that can communicate and count data directly to our server-based facility counting software in real time over a TCP/IP network.
- Small incremental digital counters can be installed in the turnstile cabinet to track passages. One counter is required per passage direction.
- The turnstile can also output counts in the form of a dry contact. We offer a small TCP/IP enabled count controller which accepts the dry contact count data and communicates the data to our counting software over a TCP/IP network. The count controller would normally be used when Ethernet communication is not available at the installation point.
- In conjunction with our counting software, these turnstiles can be used to output count or capacity data to large displays or flat panel TVs.
